B.Com., LL.B. - Born on 3rd October, 1941. Enrolled as an Advocate on 21st January, 1966 and was designated as Senior Advocate with effect from 2nd February, 1978. From 14th February, 1978 to August, 1998, ordinarily practised in the Gauhati High Court because from 14th February, 1978 for about 10 years, functioned as Advocate General, Tripura. Practised in the Calcutta High Court in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Labour and Service matters. Also appeared before Supreme Court.

Appointed as a permanent Judge of the Calcutta High Court on 27th September, 1995.
