M.A., LL.B. - Bar-at-Law of Lincoln's Inn, London. Born on 5th March, 1943. Enrolled as an Advocate in May 1968. Practiced in the Calcutta High Court and occasionally in the Supreme Court in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional and Labour Matters.

Engaged as Public Prosecutor and Additional Public Prosecutor for 14 years in the High Court, and now appointed permanent Judge in the Calcutta High Court from 17th December, 1992.
