Born on September 25, 1955 at Lucknow Educational Qualification : B.Sc., M.A., L.L.B Passed High School from Mahanagar Boys' Inter College, Lucknow Passed Intermediate from Colvin Taluqader's College, Lucknow Did Graduation and Post-Graduation from Canning College, University of Lucknow Enrolled as an Advocate on July, 1979 Started practice at Lucknow Bench, Allahabad High Court in 1979 and joined the Chamber of late Hargovind Dayal Srivastava, a renowned personality of Lucknow Bench Later on joined the Chamber of Late Justice Ashish Narain Trivedi in the year 1980 Parents : Late Siddheshwar Prasad Sharma & ate Krishna Devi [Late father of His Lordship was a member of Indian Revenue Service, who retired as Addl. Income Tax Commssioner, Lucknow] Spouse : Mrs. Yasha Sharma Children : Sons, namely, Utsav Sharma and Utkarsh Sharma are settled at Noida Daughter, Ritika Tewari [Married, settled at Mumbai] Career Description : Conducted all types of civil cases but later on specialized in tax matters, like Trade Tax, Income Tax and Excise Tax Was appointed as State Law Officer on Civil Side in the year 1986 at Lucknow Bench Was appointed as Standing Counsel in the year 1998 Was Counsel for Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaebotany, Lucknow, Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages Was Counsel for various Public Limited Companies Was also the Counsel for several District Co-operative Banks, Milk Union Federations Elevated as Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court on September 24, 2004 Appointed as Permanent Judge of the Allahabad High Court on 18th August, 2005 Other Information : Originally, belonged to Meerut. The grandfather migrated to Lucknow and the entire family settled in the city Is the eldest son in the family Two younger brothers [one is settled in Vienna, Austria while the other after obtaining MBA Degree is engaged in his own business] Transferred to the High Court at Calcutta (vide Notification dated April 11, 2015). Took Oath as Judge, Calcutta High Court on 27th April, 2015
