Born on 08th January, 1965 at Bahirkhanda, within Hooghly District of West Bengal. Passed LL.B Examination from Hooghly  Mohsin College, LL.M  from the University of Burdwan and obtained Ph.D (Law) degree, in the branch of Criminology from the University of Calcutta. Succeeded in W.B.C.S (Judicial) Examination in 1995 and joined as Munsiff on 10.09.1996. Promoted as Assistant Sessions Judge cum Civil Judge (Senior Division) on 28.06.2004. Succeeded in Limited Competitive Examination in the year 2010 and was elevated in the rank of District Judge (Entry Level) on 07.01.2011. Important posts held in the said rank includes Judge (XIIth  Bench), City Civil Court, Calcutta / Additional Director, West Bengal Judicial Academy / District & Sessions Judge, Andaman & Nicobar Islands / Registrar, Inspection - II, High Court, Calcutta / Chairman, West Bengal Co-operative Tribunal etc.

Elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court at Calcutta on 18.11.2021. Appointed as Permanent Judge on August 01, 2023.
