Is a Life Member of Bangiya Sahitya Parishad and a member of Asiatic Society and other institutions. Practised in civil, criminal and constitutional matters. Was the Senior Advocate for the State of West Bengal and held the post of Lawyer-in-charge of the University of Calcutta. Was an empanelled Advocate for the Employee's Provident Fund Organisation. Appeared for a number of educational authorities and institutions including the University of Calcutta, Visva Bharati, West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Gour Banga University, National University of Juridical Sciences. Was a Guest Lecturer at the Department of Law, University of Calcutta for some time and South Calcutta Law College. Was elevated to the Bench of the High Court at Calcutta as a permanent Judge on September 13, 2010.

She was the President of the Karnataka Judicial Academy from 21.06.2008 to 25.03.2010. She was also the Executive Chairperson of the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority. As Executive Chairperson, she had worked for the welfare of transgenders and arranged seminars throughout the State. On transfer to the Kerala High Court, assumed charge as Acting Chief Justice on 09.11.2011. Became Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court on 26.09.2012. In recognition of the outstanding contributions in the field of law the Karnataka State Womens’ University, Bijapur honoured her with a degree of Doctor of Law (Honoris Causa) at the fourth annual convocation held on 3rd March, 2013 at Bijapur. Protik Prakash Banerjee, (born June 1, 1969) son of Late Mukul Prokash Banerjee, Senior Advocate and past Secretary of the Bar Association of the High Court at Calcutta, and the late Lekha Banerjee, Advocate, was educated at Calcutta Boys’ School and University College of Law, the University of Calcutta. Between 1984 and 1994 he compered Western Music on All India Radio Calcutta and Yuva Vani. He regularly wrote on matters unconnected with the law, between 1989 and 1994 in the Economic Times. Enrolled on January 25, 1995 he practised initially as an Advocate-on-Record on the Appellate Side of the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta and then as counsel in both the Original and Appellate Sides, in Civil, Constitutional Writ, Company, Labour, Commercial, Testamentary and Intestate jurisdictions, and reveled in trial law and arbitration, but had limited exposure in criminal matters and appeared only once in a revenue matter. His pleasure was drafting and appearing in cases representing the ostensibly weaker side. He was the first Advocate in India to have won a Judgment in favor of his client that an arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 is amenable to jurisdiction under Article 227 of the Constitution of India. While at the Bar, he wrote commentaries on several subjects, including the Bengal Excise Act, the Essential Commodities Act, the Original Side Rules and the Appellate Side Rules, which went into more than one edition. He was a guest lecturer at NUJS taking contract, company and drafting “clinic” classes and till elevation, used to write a blog on Lawoctopus, under the name “Protik Da”. He was retained as Junior, the Standing Counsel of the State of West Bengal from June 9, 2011 until the demitted office, declining the position of a Senior Government Advocate, on March 9, 2014. He was named a Member of the Governing Body of the Surendranath Law College (the oldest Law College in India, which was initially known as Ripon College) on December 8, 2009 and served till 2011. Interested in debate from school days, he continued the practice while at the Bar, and was awarded the Best Speaker Award twice in the Annual Debates of the Indian Law Institute by its West Bengal Unit, and was awarded the Most Outstanding Emerging Lawyer Award by the Indian Law Institute, West Bengal State Unit in 2009, the only occasion when it was awarded. He was elected the Vice President of the Bar Association of the High Court at Calcutta and took office on July 31, 2015 and demitted office on July 31, 2017. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court at Calcutta on September 19, 2017 and took oath as an Additional Judge on September 21, 2017. His favourite pastime is reading, and as an avid bibliophile, he has more than 4.5 lakh books in his personal library apart from electronic books. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Thottathil B. Nair Radhakrishnan Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan was sworn-in as permanent Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 14th October, 2004. He is the son of late N. Bhaskaran Nair and late K. Parukutty Amma, both Advocates, who practised at Kollam. Born on 29th April, 1959, he had his early schooling in St. Joseph's Convent and Government Boys' High School, Kollam; Arya Central School, Thiruvananthapuram and secured ISC conferred by the University of Cambridge (Local Examination Syndicate), having studied in Trinity Lyceum, Kollam. After obtaining B.Sc. Degree in Zoology from University of Kerala as a student of the Fatima Matha National College, Kollam, he secured LL.B. Degree from Bangalore University having studied Law in K.G.F. Law College, Kolar Gold Fields. Enrolled on 11th December, 1983, he practised at Thiruvananthapuram as junior to Advocate late P. Ramakrishna Pillai and thereafter shifted to High Court of Kerala in 1988 as junior to Senior Advocate late P. Sukumaran Nayar. He dealt with cases in different branches of law, the areas of his prominent practice being Civil, Constitutional and Administrative Law. He appeared also for various institutions including banks, university and other public institutions. He also appeared for the High Court of Kerala. He was appointed as amicus curiae in different matters and was Advocate-Member of the Rule Committee constituted under Section 123 of the Code of Civil Procedure. While an Advocate, he was invited as Resource Person by the Training Directorate which later became the Kerala Judicial Academy. As Judge, he was nominated by the Hon'ble the Chief Justice to deal with original petitions registered following directions of the Supreme Court in relation to mental health matters. On various occasions, he was invited as Resource Person to the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal and the Kerala Judicial Academy. (Kerala Series) and the President of the Rule Committee under Section 123 of the Code of Civil Procedure. He was a Member of the Central Authority of the National Legal Services Authority. He was the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala from 13.05.2016 to 1.8.2016 and from the afternoon of 16.2.2017 till he was sworn in as Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court in the forenoon of 18.3.2017. He was the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court from 18.3.2017 to 6.7.2018. He was the Chancellor of the Hidayatullah National Law University, Naya Raipur, Chhattishgarh. He was sworn in as Chief Justice of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on 7.7.2018. He was the Chancellor of the National Academy for Legal Studies and Research (NALSR), University of Law, Hyderabad and the Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Visakhapatnam. He was the Patron-in-Chief of the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States Legal Services Authority. He was the Chief Patron of the A.P. Judicial Academy, Secunderabad. He was sworn-in as the Chief Justice of the High Court for the State of Telangana on 1.1.2019. He was the Patron-in-Chief of the Telangana State Legal Services Authority. He was the Chief Patron of the Telangana State Judicial Academy, Secunderabad. He continued to be the Chancellor of NALSR, University of Law, Hyderabad. He has sworn in as Chief Justice of the High Court at Calcutta on 04.04.2019.

Justice Rajesh Bindal was born on 16th April, 1961 at Ambala City in the State of Haryana (India). He did LL.B. from Kurukshetra University in 1985 and joined profession in High Court of Punjab & Haryana in September 1985. He represented Chandigarh Administration before Central Administrative Tribunal for more than a decade till 2004. He represented Punjab & Haryana regions of Employees Provident Fund Organization before the High Court and Central Administrative Tribunal from 1992 till his elevation. He remained associated, on behalf of State of Haryana, in settlement of the dispute concerning Satluj Yamuna Water with State of Punjab before Hon’ble Eradi Tribunal and Hon’ble the Supreme Court. He represented Income-tax Department, Haryana region before the High Court. He was elevated as a Judge of High Court of Punjab & Haryana on March 22, 2006. He remained Chairman of the Committee constituted pursuant to Resolution No. 7 adopted in the Chief Justices’ Conference, 2016 for framing Draft Rules for Electronic Evidence and submitted his report to Hon’ble the Supreme Court in November 2018. Being Chairman of a multi-member Committee constituted by Ministry of Women and Child Development to study Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction Bill, 2016, he submitted report accompanied by the recommendations and draft of the Protection of Children (Inter-Country Removal and Retention) Bill, 2018 to the Ministry in April 2018. Before his transfer to High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, he was heading various Committees including Computer Committee, Arrears Committee. Before his transfer to High Court at Calcutta he was the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Building and Infrastructure Committee, Information Technology Committee, State Court Management Systems Committee in the High Court and also Chairman of J&K State Legal Service Authority. He was also the Chairman of the Committee constituted for conducting assessment for optimal use of technology by NALSA and the State Legal Services Authorities including use of Artificial Intelligence. He was also Member of the Committee constituted to go into the existing framework of Lok Adalats and Mediation and to suggest ways for enhancing operational efficiency and plugging gaps, if any, or better application of these ADR mechanisms for weaker sections of the society.
