Born on 15.07.1955. Schooling from Rahara Ramkrishna Mission Boys’ Home School and Passed H. S. Examination in the year 1971. Graduated in Commerce in the year 1974 from Raj College under Burdwan University. Passed L.L.B. (First Class) from Burdwan University, Department of Law in the year 1979. Joined in West Bengal Civil Service (Judicial) on 18.11.1983 (Batch, 1982). Posted at different places in different ranks in all the tiers of service including a Tribunal. Posted as the District and Sessions Judge, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and thereafter as the District and Sessions Judge, North 24-Parganas, West Bengal. Posted as Additional Director and Director of West Bengal Judicial Academy. Also posted as the Principal Secretary, Judicial Department, Government of West Bengal. Elevated as an Additional Judge High Court Calcutta and took oath on 01.10.2013.
